Seamus Shanks. Architecture Graduate from University of Dundee. The rainforest life isn’t for everyone, and Shamus is defiantly our most city-comfortable volunteer so far. However, he made a great contribution with his gregarious personality and willingness to work on new projects.

Eoghan made a huge contribution to Camp Tinangol and Camp Mantanani, coming up with the idea of bamboo woven panels as a façade system and having exacting standards when it comes to casting concrete. He and his girlfriend Deborah became a central part of village life in both camps.
Chris Trunkfield‘s dashing personality left a legacy in Sandakan & KK and he remains one of the most talked about volunteers. His design renders of the BSBCC observation deck have helped to secure the necessary funding to get this project the go ahead.
Nic Lim worked at Arkitrek from June 2012 to February 2013. He quickly became an expert in bio-crete and earthbag construction and we still engage Nic to run workshops in building with alternative materials.
